Breast reduction surgery medically known as mammoplasty, is a surgical procedure to re-size enlarged breast. The procedure is not exclusive for women but also inclusive for men with female pattern breast enlargement also known as "Man boobs" or "gynaecomastia"
The procedure is usually done under general anaesthesia and heals with almost invisible scars. During breast reduction surgery (Mammoplasty), surgical breast lift (Mastopexy) could also be done if so desired. Incision pattern is made on the breast and the excess skin, fat and overstretched ligaments are cut and removed. The nipple is transposed higher upon the breast hemisphere and then the skin is closed up with fine sutures.
You might consider a breast reduction if:
Your breasts have lost shape, gotten bigger and longer
Your nipples fall below your breast creases
Your breast point directly downward
You’re are really uncomfortable with your breast size
One of your breasts falls lower than the other (Breast asymmetry)
Youthful breast appearance
Increase fullness and projection of the breasts.
More attractive breast shape and appearance.
Improve moderate asymmetry of the breasts.
You should probably not consider Breast Reduction if you’re:
Still planning to have children. Pregnancy and breast feeding would probably stretch the breasts, compromising the benefits and results of the breast lift
Unrealistic about expectations. Nothing wrong with being a dreamer, but if you fill your imagination with all sorts of unrealistic results of how this will dramatically change your life, you may be disappointed
Having serious medical conditions & emotionally unstable.
